Since 1998, more than 6,000 men, women, and children have lost their lives trying to cross the Mexico–US border. Their deaths are the result of a border-enforcement strategy that knowingly channels migrants through remote and dangerous desert. Our projects include maintaining a humanitarian presence in the desert and in Nogales, Mexico, as well as community work in Tucson.
